Yes.

What if I'm not home to receive my order?

You will receive a note from our courier in your letter box. This will advise as to your options for pick up or re-directing the package. You may wish to show your work place as the delivery address, that way you are more likely to be there when the order arrives.

Why does the colour of my filament not exactly match the colour shown online?

Monitors have a wide variety of settings. It is important to understand that the particular computer monitor you are using determines the particular colours that you will see displayed. Different monitors will have slightly different contrast and colour ratios settings. Your desktop, iPad, phone and laptop may all give you slightly different colour representations of the same material. Therefore, the colours each individual customer sees on his or her computer screen will not 100% accurately reflect the colours of our products as they actually are.

What is an STL file and how can I create one for 3D printing?

An STL file is the most common file type used for 3D printing. It describes the xyz coordinates of a three dimensional model. It should be noted the file describes only the outer surface of the model. It is for this reason that each 3D print can be adjusted to make the interior part more or less solid.

The following is a list of free CAD software that can create STL files:

  • Autodesk 123D Design
  • Tinkercad
  • 3D Tin
  • Blender
  • FreeCAD
  • Sculptris
  • Sketchup

Varying degrees of skill are required to use these applications and they cannot always produce every detailed design that you can imagine.

For CAD users it is important to note that most 3D CAD systems can simply save as STL with no special treatment required. However designing models for 3D printing is a skill that needs to be learnt with experience.
